Description
Limestone seated portrait statue of Akhmeretnesut, superintendent of the Royal gardens. Carved in the chunky style typical of late Dynasty 5 and early Dynasty 6, he sits with his left hand flat upon his knee and his right closed in a fist. He wears a pleated kilt and a wig with a center part. The nose is damaged.

From Giza, G 2184. 1912: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; 1912: assigned to the MFA by the Egyptian government.
