The Esso brand is synonymous with hockey in Canada so what better way to hold your 250ml can then a stanley cup holder and trophy lid. 

I wanted to " fuel innovation "  so I first started by doing some research on what innovation is so that my concept could embody it:

I also wanted to bring in Esso's rich history and brand into the concept so I started to research Esso's brand and how it started.  This lead me to this page:

I was suprised to find out how much history Esso and hockey had so I decided to focus my design on this area.  This is how I ended up designing a way to transform a typical can into one of the most well know trophys of hockey.  not to mention In 1936, Esso sponsored the first national radio broadcast of an NHL game.

I also wanted to include many types of technologys / innovations so I decided used a FDM 3d printer for the base and a SLA printer for cup, although each can be printed on either.
