The Rings of the Champions
The Rings of the Champions

This is just an entry into the 3D Printing Industry x Protolabs competition. This takes advantage of support-free powder-bed printing and the semi-translucent properties of MJF and SLA.
They say art is symbolic. If that's true, then this is a 3D Van Gogh.
The 3 rings are actually 3 rotated stars, as to represent 3 (get it?)D printing excellence. The central part, or as I like to call it, the "support". I call it that because of the support-like pattern often generated by FDM slicers, another branch of 3D printing. The base has the general shape of a "D" (again, get it?) and serves its purpose to it's fullest. The letters on the front, "3DPI", are the initials of the 3D Printing Industry. Some modifications may need to be made to the rings fit in the support, as this was partially designed to be able to print in one piece.
I also can provide the Fusion 360 Archive files for anyone's use or remix, just ask. :)
Have fun.
