A re-work of a previous paint stand I made to make the weighted component changable and to make the shell a bit nicer to hold.
Will not need any supports but the threads are decently fine so it is best to print it at 0.2mm layer heights or less to make sure that you get good thread difinition.
Once printed the plug can be filled with any form of weight you like, I personally use pennies but I made the hole the right size to fit the diameter of a U.S. nickle. I also hot glue the wieights in there so they cannot rattle around. If I want to change up the weight I can just print a spare plug and weight it differently.
To use just get some poster tack and stick it to the top of the stand. Then stick your model to that and paint away.

Here the print is done. You jus add weight to the center of the inner part, I used hot glue to hold some pennies in there and not ratteling, and then screw it into the base. you can then use some poster tack on top to hold your model.
