A Programmer by trade, I've been working with electronics and engineering as a hobby my whole life. I built my first 3D printer from scratch out of old DVD drives just to learn about the technology. My 2nd one was a Prusa i3 MK2 clone only because I wanted to have a good printer with a larger print area but I didn't want to just buy a kit so I built it from scratch as well. I like building the machines just as much if not more than the actual printing.
