Teaching/Work Experience (2009-Present) Assistant Professor of Physical Sciences, PHSC. I teach a full range of Physical Science courses. Astronomy; Geology; Meteorology; and Introduction to Physical Science (chemistry & physics). I design all of my courses to contain integrated web-data which requires students to interact with online material as a requisite to course completion. Also E certified and teach several Online only Courses. (2015) Founder Academic Designs Inc. A 3D design and engineering group. 3D Printed Fine Jewelry & Office Gifts. Custom Crafted for Academics, Executives, and Professionals. (2014) Faculty Research Chair Award Recipient Worked on the world’s first 3D Printed Canal House Project in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Invited by DUS Architects to participate and research in their 3D Printed Canal House Project. I am the only outside Research Scientist yet granted an extended stay and access to their fully proprietary research data. The Research Chair Award was offered and funded from the PHSC Foundation (implemented in 2015). (2013) Innovative Technology Grant Recipient Designed and built the college's first 3D Printing & 3D Imaging Laboratory. Project funded by a technology grant from PHSC Foundation, Inc. Multiple 3D Printers, and an optical 3D Scanner, have a dedicated lab located in the Spring Hill campus. (2012) Innovative Technology Grant Recipient Received funding to computer link the Spring Hill Weather Recording Station to the National Weather Service Reporting Grid with a classroom dedicated work-station. Wrote and received a PHSC Foundation, Inc. grant for the purchase of equipment to connect the weather station to the NWS reporting grid. (2011) Innovative Technology Grant Recipient Wrote a STEM grant to bring a solar-powered, fully computerized weather recording station to the college for increased STEM integration in classroom learning. Installed the system in the courtyard on the Spring Hill campus. Funded by the PHSC Foundation, Inc. (2009-2012) Website Designer, USF Health Neurology Centers of Excellence. Built and managed the website for Huntington’s disease in USF’s Health Centers of Excellence. My work was funded by a research grant from the HDSA. (2005-2006) Research scientist, Van der Waals-Zeeman Institute of Atomic Laser Physics, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Received an internal internship for one year to work with the Quantum Gases-Atom Optics Group on their cold fusion research program. (2000-2007) Computer Engineer, Magnetic Card Internet b.v., The Hague, Netherlands. Co-founder of a small computer corporation in Europe. Designed and built pay-for-use Internet Kiosks using magnetic-card-reader technology in several countries. (1985-2000) Research Scientist, Electron Microscopy Imaging Laboratory, West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Director of laboratory research. Taught electron imaging physics. Instructed graduate, and undergraduate, students in the theory and operation of both scanning and transmission electron microscopes. Also responsible for developing research protocols: as well as instruction in x-ray diffraction and electron microprobe instruments for elemental analysis. The laboratory was an entirely independent entity funded solely by NSF grants, private research companies, and donations. (1995-1999) Adjunct Instructor of Astronomy & Geology, West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Responsible for operation of the planetarium; the observatory; and teaching the laboratory hands-on rock sessions.
