This cube is meant to teach elementary children, 1st grade and older, basic mathematic skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. This cube can also be scaled larger to teach younger children how to match shapes together as well as improve dexterity with smaller objects. Increasing the size of smaller children will also prevent a choking hazard.
With a $20.00 spool of filament, you could make approximately 275 of these small cubes. An alternative cube like this can be purchased online for $13.25 for 100 pieces. From this, you can see that you can get well over double the amount for almost the same cost. The alternative can be found here.
