Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet
While waiting for "Maverick" to be in theater, something to play with.
Developed from the Hornet it maintains the name F/A-18 but it is quite a new plane; made to fully replace the Tomcat in the fleet, respect the Hornet C/D variant it is 25% bigger , more powerful, with larger load capabilities and, of course, more expensive.
Entered service in 1999 and built in over 300 pieces with a declared final goal of 573 aircraft of the III block in service till and beyond the 2030.
It is In service with USA, Australia and Kuwait.
In the folder the single seater E variant and the Two seater F variant.
Model printed at 1:285 with 0.2mm nozzle (but still sliceable with 0.4mm nozzle and 1:300 scale) and 0.12 mm layers.
Print test made with a Ender3 as shown in the image taken from PrusaSlicer2.
Model printed in the two-part version to keep most of the tail and nose details; use some sandpaper and in the end the glued joint is not so visible and once painted almost invisible.
