Micron Miniatures set MM601:
British and French 6mm Napoleonic Starter Set
This set of miniatures contains files to print strips of 6mm (1/285 scale) infantry for both French and British infantry. Currently, the french are wearing the pre-Bardin uniform, while the British sport the 1812 revision 'Waterloo' uniform. Poses are supplied as standing with shouldered arms.
These miniatures do not require any support on an SLA machine - simply place the files anywhere on the build plate and go! Zero resin wasted and no tedious removal of supports.
The set of bases included allows for assembly of a variety of frontages which can be tailored to whatever ruleset you are using. The figures themselves are spaced 5mm apart, and there is a break-line moulded in to the strip so that they may be separated to individual figures or arranged for any desired frontage.
This range will continue to expand alongside the 15-28mm miniatures when they are released, however they will be modified in such a way that they can all be printed directly on the build plate. Future releases from this series will include cavalry and artillery and much more.
Thanks for stopping by, and remember to check in for future releases in 6mm scale!
Cheers,
Micron Miniatures
These print well at 50 microns. Go for gentle and slow lifting and retracting speeds and a light-off delay of 2-3 seconds to maximise the sharpness of the tiny details. When removing supports, I suggest to use flush cutters (Xuron or similar) to free the support placed on the tips of bayonets. These supports are not actually required for printing, but are there to protect the fine details during washing and handling prior to curing. The other supports should be fine enough to break free with gentle pressure or torsion.
