https://youtu.be/nknPRvXkpRg Check out the video!!This is a candy/coin eating robot, to which I included an electronic element. I will explain how he eats. So, he has a little plate attached to one of his hands, and as you can see in the pictures, his hand is connected to the top part of his so called head. Inside of him is hollow for space for a motor that will be controlled by a button, that if pressed, it will turn a certain degree and then back to the closed position. I connected the top part of the robot to the bottom with construction pieces, and that works like a hinge. All parts(top head, bottom body, hands, plate, hair, motor clip, chicken feet) for my robot were printed seperately and measured out to connect with each other. To add something a little strange, I put him on chicken legs which I also designed seperately. The only extras that I used that were not printed are the wire to hold the arm and top head together, and then the wire going through the body from the sides that the motor spins. My robot is going to stand on a cardboard box with all the wires and electronic parts inside of it, with a red buttom sticking out, and to add a little color to this, once the button is pressed a little blue light will blind and then the robot will eat. I have a link attached where you can see all this in action! Enjoy!
I have a printer at home, and I printed my robot in seperate pieces, like I explained in my description. I used ABS filament with the extruder heated up to 265 celsius and the platform heated to 105 celsius. Every part took pretty quick to print except for both top and bottom of the msin body. That took me 9 hours to print.
