Description
The scene has represented many occurences with an engraving depicting the same theme of the Coronation of Martin Schongauer, the best version of which is to Kupferstichkabinet, Berlin State Museums Preubischer Kulturbesitz zu Berlin. In terms of composition, the characteristics of the figures means we can establish an accurate relationship, with respect to the engraving of the sculpture, to its status model. Part of a wooden altarpiece ?? Canyameres F. Duran (1933) suggests that it comes from the heart of Spain.
