It's all Initeration's fault! He suggested adapting my Connect Four - Cube Style set in a cylindrical form, to allow the board to wrap around. Cool idea! The most obvious impact on strategy is that the centre column is no longer quite so strategically important, because, well, there is no centre.
Now, this is really just an adaptation meant for people who already have all the pieces printed from the original set. It's not really the ideal design for a round set, and if I was designing a cylindrical set from scratch, I would take quite a different approach. The main issue is visibility - you'll find yourself moving either the board or your head quite a bit, to see what's going on!

Anyway, it's a bit of fun, and definitely a worthy extension of the original game!
A bit of bridging to be handled, but that's about it. Nothing tricky!
