After getting himself to a safe distance, he started wandering around, cursing his luck, and looking for a place to take shelter. This is when he met a young girl also wandering around.
This girl was apparently the chief’s daughter and she offered to show him around in exchange for interesting stories. Being a retired adventurer he had stories to spare, so he agreed and they set out, looking around for this elusive mineral he coveted.
Later on, they were joined by another woman of the tribe, and so they set off into the depths of the mountain, wishing for luck and praying for safety, unknowing of the dangers they were about to find.
