This sculpture can easily be defined by the strong facial structure and tied back hair as Venus, the Roman goddess of love and beauty. From what larger sculpture this bust originates from is unclear but it could be a variant of the Venus de Milo or a section of The 'Venus and Cupid', both at The Louvre in Paris.
