Snaplock Microphone Shockmount for Mic Stand

When a studio engineer is mic'ing up instruments for a recording session (live instruments with real musicians are always better, boys and girls) it is vitally important that the microphones are isolated from the stand in order to prevent the concussive sounds of drums, amps and so on from rattling the stand and corrupting the signal. This is another of my range of Snaplock accessories for musicians, this time for those who enjoy a spot of home recording (or those in studios, who do it professionally). The mounting rings have notches to have elastic bands strung between them in an 'X' shape. The universal mount is snapped onto a micstand, the mounting assembly is screwed onto the stand interface and then the whole thing is snapped onto the universal mount. Then you just poke the microphone into the middle of the elastic bands and hey presto, one shock-mounted microphone! I'm going to keep designing helps for musicians, so if you have any ideas then please contact me and we'll discuss what you're thinking of!
Printed in RED PLA at 60mm/s, 25% fill, 200 microns layers, 230ºC extruder, 80ºC bed, support everywhere with Brim, slice in Cura. The fit between some parts (mounts pins) might need a little adjustment with sand paper, but not a lot. The fastener can be hard to clip.
