Description
This sculpture depicts Venus, the goddess of love, standing nude. The goddess portrayed in the classic pudica pose. The dolphin at her feet behind her supports the figure and alludes to the goddess's birth from the sea. There is a Cupid, the son of Venus, hiding with his bow between them.
