Here is The Little Prince and his friend looking far away at his planet thinking of his rose which must be bored alone ... This is the second version of the Little Prince of Saint-Exupery I share with you here. This one is simpler than my first one. There is less assembly; there is no integrated light and no supports needed to print the main part. The only supports necessary are for the head, the hair and the scarf. These are separated from the main part for better details and to have the Prince's scarf fluttering in the wind. As the theme of the competition for which I created it clearly stated it, I “take inspiration from the original characters of Saint Exupery's book” ... but let's be honest, he did not draw very well. Representing his Little Prince in 3D is not an easy task. So I did my best to create a character representing the Little Prince and his Fox as drawn in the original book and not inspired by the film or any existing characters. I hope you enjoy its simplicity and elegance.

Voici Le petit Prince et son ami qui regarde au loin sa planète en pensant a sa rose qui doit s’ennuyer tout seul… C’est la deuxième version du Petit Prince de Saint-Exupéry que je partage avec vous ici. Celle-ci est plus simple que ma première proposition. Il y a moins d’assemblage, n’y a pas de lumière à intégrer et pas besoin de supports pour imprimer la pièce principale. Les seuls supports nécessaires sont pour la tête, les cheveux et l’écharpe. Ces derniers sont séparés de la pièce principale pour permettre de meilleurs détails et pour que l’écharpe du Prince flotte au vent. Comme la thématique du concours pour lequel je l’ai créé le demandait clairement, je me suis "inspiré des dessins originaux du livre de Saint-Exupéry" … mais soyons francs, il ne dessinait pas très bien. Représenter en 3D son petit prince n’est pas une mince affaire. J’ai donc fait mon possible pour créé une figurine représentant le petit prince et son renard tel que dessiné dans le livre original et non inspiré du film ou de figurines déjà existantes. J’espère que vous apprécierez sa simplicité et son élégance.
