This is a 3D printed prototype of a finger with 3 joint for the LAD Robotic hand as shown on the photo and on the video above. The design was made to be printed on a SLS 3D machine. However, each link can be printed in a FDM machine with the right supports and some post-processing. I glued the finger to a plastic box (not included in files) for display.
I used three M3 bolts and nuts (18mm, 22mm and 25mm long) to join each phalanx together, and four headless nails 1~ 1.25mm in diameter as pins for the two connecting rods (9mm long x 2 for the short rod, and 5mm long and 22mm long for the long proximal rod ).
