×Sophie v2 Chassis
Version two of Sophie's body. Instead of having to print out 25 different parts and glue them all together, if you have a larger 3D printer (300x300x400mm or more) then you can just print the whole torso in only two sections. The thorax also has shoulder joints built-in so you can attach her articulated arms.
The base of her neck joint can be glued directly into the hole at the top of the thorax (I didn't want to join the base of her neck to her thorax because this would cause a huge amount of support material to be printed inside the chest cavity).
These are fairly large parts. I estimate that the abdomen will take roughly 24 hours to print on draft (0.2mm setting) and the thorax even longer than that. Likely in the region of 30 hours due to the in-built joints and larger amount of supports.
You can also expect to use up a whole 1kg reel of PLA filament printing both of these parts...depending on the scale you choose to print at, of course.
