Traveled to Maui and wanted to commemorate where I've been on the island. Topo was created using Terrain2STL.

Painting
Sprayed the whole thing model with Rustoleum 2x Meadow Green (gloss). Looking back, if there is a nice shade of green that is not gloss, I might have preferred that.
Covered the mountains with tape then sprayed the ocean with Rustoleum 2x Maui Blue (satin). To get the water details close to land, I sprayed the paint into a cup then used a brush to brush on the spray paint.
Used acrylic paint for the brown on the mountain, as well as the red dots (represents the Airbnb I stayed at) and yellow (represented interested locations I've visited). The white lettering was also acrylic paint.
