Over the past weekend, I found that I was having to take apart and put back together my extruder feed area multiple times due to jams. After doing this 3-4 times I decided that it was enough and that I would design a way to move the 40mm fan out of the way quickly and easily but still have the ability to cool the internals via the fan. So I came up with this simple design to simply pivot the fan to position and then pivot out when access is needed to the internals. This allows for quick and easy visibility for feeding new filament as well as seeing jams occur and troubleshoot the problem much more effectively.
Fan_adjustment_part1 is the file for the fan mount, all the standard screws and nuts will fit around the open areas.
Fan_adjustment_part2 is what will attach to the larger back fan (used to cool the print as it is deployed out of the extruder nozzle). It is currently a single screw fit but I look to make adjustments and add a new design to have it hook into both on that larger fan without cutting off air intake.
Let me know if there are any questions on this, Tips appreciated and keep an eye out for updates as I go forward designing new parts.
