This plant pot system is a 3 tier plant pot with a concealed base. There is a large concealed space for water and a water pump and there is a seperate area for an arduino uno where there is already supports in the design to hold it, and some additional space with no pre-determined use that could be used to hold h-bridge motor driver boards , batteries, etc. There are 3 top pieces that fit comfortably into the 3 different tiers to hold the plants, and the largest of these has 2 holes ; the smaller for control wires and the larger for a pvc water pipe that connect to the submerged motor.
This design has no specific instructions so users could either have the plants watered at time intervals, or choose to install a soil moisture sensor in order to only water the plants when necessary.
Parts that are needed seperately:
Water pipe under 10mm in outer diameter
Arduino Uno board (or other arduino board)
Small submergeable dc water pump
Motor driver board
USB male B connector wire to program or power arduino
(Optional) battery + step down board to power arduino / motors
(Optional) Soil moisture sensor
There are holes on the side of the concealed area in order to provide ventilation to the boards, and for any wires like motor wires and sensor wires. There is also a larger hole for the USB port.
The plant trays are each 20mm deep and the tray is slightly smaller than the section it will fit into to ensure that the parts are not to tight to fit in because of printer tolerances.
There is also a small 3 way spout that can be attached to the hole on the larger top piece that evenly splits the water between the three planters.
The design is 186mm x 163.5mm x 60mm so should fit on most average home printers.
