Ball Bearing
Ball Bearing

This is my attempt at a ball bearing. It spins pretty smoothly for a 3D printed bearing and is easy to assemble.
[Update] I got rid of the holes in the retainer and gave it some more tolerance so the balls would spin a bit better.
- There are to notches in the outer & inner rings, they are for inserting the balls into the bearing. You will put half of the retainer in between the races and then begin placing the balls into the assembly. Finish it by putting super glue on one of the retainers and put the remaining half of the retainer in the bearing. Then push both halfs of the retainer together (If you only push one half it wont stick to the other).
- May require sanding the inside of the retainer halfs.
- The balls are going to a deformed a bit when using an FDM printer so I used a 0.3 layer height and printed all ten in one go. You can always try marbles too!
