White marble head from a statue of the philosopher Chrysippos at the British Museum, Roman copy after a lost Hellenistic original of the late 3rd century BC. Bequeathed by Richard Payne Knight. GR 1824.2-1.2 (Sculpture 1846). Date: late 3rd century–early 2nd century (original).
