This spool holder was designed specifically for 3/4" wood or dimensionally 1"x -- ". 2 Hangers are needed for the spool mounting system to work. So please print two. Also, if you are using a glass bed and you want the nice shiny side out, print one flipped opposite of the other. Once both are printed, you will need a piece of 1/2" Schedule 40 pipe. This will need to be cut to length. If you want to cut this longer, it is recommended you have one hanger for each filament spool and add an additional one for each spool. For example, one spool would require (2) hangers. Two spools would require (3) hangers and so on. Cut the PVC pipe to your length preference. I would recommend either wrapping the pipe ends with a thick rubber band or using PVC end caps to keep the PVC pipe from walking out of the hanger. Gravity will hold it down, but some spools create a little more friction and this may cause the PVC to walk. This securing method would prevent that. Try to overhang the PVC past the hanger by at least 3/4" to 1". I hope you find this useful! I used 3DRAX from Amazon "purple haze" for this print picture. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0755ZXK3B/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
I printed this with S3D on a CR-10S with the following settings:
30% infill, 4 shells, 215C initial layer, 200C Print temp, 60C heated bed on Magigoo covered glass. Print #15.
