Hi all, hopefully you will find this usefull as i made my very first one of these using just my 3D doodle pen leftovers. I always seemed to be using either my 3D pen or a glue gun and needing to put it down for a couple of seconds (mainly because either my phone is ringing or my are kids are calling me) but never have anywhere to rest them without burning a surface or getting hot plastic/glue on something. I have made it as universal as i can to fit most 3D pens. (i've been through a few)
To assembled you will need one empty can. Using the cut-hight guide (P3) to measure i have cut the bottom of the can off. This, will be used in the base unit (P1) upside down to catch any excess extruding plastic or hot melty stuff. along side this, one or two of the remaining spaces can be used to tailor the pen support parts to the hight and angle you wish. you can also lower the stands to surface hight so you can directly rest the hot end on the bottom of the can.
Because you can remove and replace the can end when you want, you may even end up using the various mess piles of diffrent strudes and glues to make some other wierd and wonderfull structures.
The stands do sit on the base snuggley without can-middle help but you can only personlise hight and angle with the aid of some. Once your happy with your settup you can either glue what you want in place or leave it all loose for Even Easyer transport or put-away. it will a sturdy enough support anyway for what it has to do. :)
There are two supports to the kit as it helps support diffrent size or multiple pens or guns, just play with combinations to make your stand your own.
This will all make more sense when you are looking at the pictures i trust.
Again i hope you like it and find it as useful as i have :)
