Hi everyone,
I offer my 3D-printing services to a lot of people and friends who never printed anything before, and I get a lot of questions on what colors I have.
To make it easier I decided to make a quick color sample print I can just bring with me and show them.
If you have a huge filament library already it will take some time to print one of each, but it's definetly worth it.
Not only do they show color, they also have 4 different levels of thickness (0.5mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm). You can also attach them to a keyring or something similar so you dont lose any.
I have designed 4 different variants:
- 10.0 x 45.0mm
- 15.0 x 47.5mm
- 20.0 x 50.0mm
- 40.0 x 40.0mm
Print time for one color sample varies from 5 up to 15 minutes, depending on which variant you choose.
I personally label each one on the back with a sharpie, but thats totally up to you.
Have fun printing your own samples!
I personally set up a sliced file that prints two 40x40 square samples at once and keep it on my SD card at all times. Most of the time this is my first print when I buy new filament.
