Description
The Santa María Magdalena was a frigate of the Spanish Navy, which was wrecked together with the Bergantín Palomo in 1810 in the Ría de Viveiro, Lugo (Spain). The Santa María Magdalena, under the command of Captain Blas de Salcedo, had been built in 1773 in the Royal Shipyards of Esteiro and had 38 cannons. The brig Palomo, commanded by frigate lieutenant Diego de Quevedo, was built in 1793 at the same arsenal and had 18 guns.
