Description
Found on Salamis.
The deceased woman is depicted seated on a stool with her feet resting on a footstool. She wears a chiton and himation and her hair is covered by a snood. On her knees she has a pyxis from which she is taking some object.
In front of her stands a young woman wearing a chiton and a himation, supporting her head with her right hand in grief. Above the two figures are inscribed their names: Phano and Kallippis. A standing youth is depicted at the right, swathed in a himation, and behind Phano, a servant girl wearing the characteristic sleeved barbarian chiton, with a snood on her head, holds an infant in her arms.
