Description
This fragment was a part of a funerary monument with an architectural structure. The woman is to the right of the man, according to the Roman custom. Her face is oval and the expression is serene and abstract, hair is parted in the centre and braids back behind the ears. The man's face has a certain resemblance to his female counterpart. The author seems to be a local artisan with a classic taste, as demonstrated by the elegant gesture of the hands, the folds of the drapery and the type of hairstyle.
