Description
This is one of a series of funerary stela used to serve as gravestones or decorations for a tomb. These stela are all (like most others) sculpted in bas-relief with figurative depictions engraved on them to resemble the deceased person; they are all missing their accompanying text engravings so their identities are unclear. What is interesting is that there are two male figures in each of these reliefs, suggesting that the figures were either brothers or members of a brotherhood.
The raised hands, often holding a 'bouquet' or object, suggest further that this is a specific sort of funerary object.
