    Description

    It was in 1908 that Bourdelle realized the portrait of Ingres (1780-1867), his famous fellow Montalbanian whose talent he admired above all. In an Expressionist style, the bust was presented in plaster at the Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts and won a critical success.
