King George IV for Advanced Eye Mech
King George IV for Advanced Eye Mech
Published 2020-11-25T14:22:33+00:00 • Remixed from King George IV
This is a remix of the wonderful scan of the Death Mask of King George IV posted by Anatomical Museum. This remix was made to accept the amazing “DIY Compact 3D Printed Animatronic Eye Mechanism” by Will Cogley. I have scaled up the model 197%, removed material for the eye mechanism, added supports and cleaned up/thinned out the model.
There is a hole in the primary support for a 3mm threaded insert to enable locking down the Eye Mechanism.
A video of the print and Eye Mechanism (not included here) working together can be found here.
This is a LARGE model! It requires a printer capable of printing 154mm X 143mm X 270mm. The attached pictures were printed on the Ender 5 with ESun PLA+ .2mm layer height, 20% infill, and with Curas TreeSupports. As such the print took 47 hours and used 41% of a 1kg spool (137m).
