Mounting for the standard Pi Cam camera to fit Kossel or other delta or cartesian printers with 2020 extrusion frame. Mount is based around a print in place ball mount with locking set screw.
Important! The ball joint printing requirement is critical for a successful print. Print with 40% infill and at least 3 walls, preferably 4. The Ball and stem MUST be printed inverted with the ball flange face down on the bed. Use supports on build surface only, otherwise all the threaded holes fill with support material.
The rest of the components can be printed as normal. I printed the camera mounting plate upright on the bed and it will happily print without support. The frame bracket is best printed using supports on bed only, with the frame face on the bed. The spacer frame distance piece print with frame face up and no supports if you require this piece.
You will need some M3 and M4 cap head screws to assemble this item. See below:
4 x M2 x 4 or 6mm Cap Head screws (Pi Cam Mounting)
1 x M3 x 12-20mm Cap head screw (Cam mount to Ball joint)
1 x M4 x 16-20mm Cap Head Screw (Ball joint pillar to Frame mount)
1 x M4 x 8mm (Ball set screw)
2 x M4 x 10mm Cap head screw (Frame mount to 2020 Frame)
2 x M4 T-Nut (Frame mount to 2020 Frame)
(Optional) 2 x M4 x 30mm Cap Head Screw if using the spacer block
