This is a tripod mount I designed to take advantage of the new MagSafe feature added to the iPhone 12. In particular, this design is built to support the iPhone 12 Pro Max as that is the phone that I use.
The mount prints in two parts which should slide together tightly. Then you can simply place an Apple MagSafe charger into the backplate of the mount and your iPhone should stick to it rather well.
The magnets used for MagSafe are surprisingly strong and you should be able to angle your phone in almost any orientation you want including horizontally or, theoretically, upside down.
The mount includes a small lip to help support the phone in portrait mode just in case and the backplate has two punchouts which allow for easier removal of the MagSafe charger.
I printed mine at 0.15mm layer heights on my Prusa i3MK3s. Print the base with the screw hole down, and print the backplate on its back.
Note that this print does require relatively good tolerances or the fit might be too tight.
