Built during the golden age of Sol's exploration, the battlecarrier Mercy's Reach was the pinnacle of human engineering and unity. New and experimental technologies permeated the entire ship, and shortly after it's completion, the vessel disappeared into the Dirac Sea during it's maiden FTL jump, waiting in secret to return after humanity had begun it's conquest of the stars beyond the home system.
For over 1,000 years, the enigmatic Mercy's Reach has roamed beyond the edges of known space, protecting and leading the human empires to glory. Now the battlecarrier has turned coreward to investigate lost colonies and strange alien signals, what was found were scenes of horror and devastation.
The ravenous forces of the Centauri Machine Federation have been luring unsuspecting colonists into the growing clutches of the swarm of cyber terrors, hellbent on creating an all encompassing technological singularity.
