A myling is the vengeful spirit of a child that has been abandoned to die in a forest or swamp. It will appear sweet and innocent at first, ingratiating themself with nearby travellers to convince them to carry their remains and bury them in concecrated ground. Once the living accomplice completes the task the myling drags the victim down into the earth with them, burying them alive!
