This is my version of a mini "Racing Quad". An X-Type with a 220mm arm span. I tried to achieve an easy access to all components, but also to keep the build as clean as possible. Maybe it's not the most rugged construction, but it flies perfectly with 3S or 4S LiPo's.
All screws in the frame are M3 and are sunk. The bottom frame can be printed on my Prusa i3 type printer in one piece. I don't need detachable arms, as I can print as many frames as I want if it cracks someday. Which it hasn't up to today.
Also I never use action cam on top of my racing quads, so there's no mount foreseen. All the components are attached to the bottom frame, so the top plate can be removed very easy without any hassle. Camera mount angle can be changes in CAD with just 2 clicks if I need it.
This were my design consideration. The whole frame was done by me from scratch just for my one purposes. It's very modular, so if a different camera mount is needed you just have to design this part with your changes or change some parameters for the RX/VTX holder.
