Currently hundreds of people with disabilities around the world are fortunate to have a free prosthesis like this thanks to the organization ATOMIC_LAB
The current prosthesis only allows a short movement of the arm to articulate the hand, but the user is limited to a very short movement practically with the prosthesis at a 90 ° angle. I noticed this when I was assigned as a volunteer to print a prosthesis. Do not be satisfied with the result since the person benefiting from this prosthesis was a working adult with children. So, hands on, after several designs I managed to add some small pieces that successfully met the objective.
So, with a small grain of sand, I have designed these small pieces that are added to the standard prosthesis, significantly increasing the opening angle of the arm, facilitating control and adding a more natural and fluid movement to those who use it.
The pieces fit perfectly in both the right and left arm, you only have to take into account when printing the scalar to the same size in which the prosthesis was printed so that it fits without difficulty.
To ensure good mechanical strength, parts should be printed at the position of the .stl files.
In order for the route to be complete, an elastic band must be installed as illustrated in the last photo (2).
This is my small contribution to continue helping thousands of people who want to achieve their dreams.
