This is a set of replacement limbs for the Palitoy Talking Dalek released in the UK in 1975.
Includes Dalek arm, gun and eye stalk. Each has 3 variants: a version which is identical to the original toy part, a version with the insertion post flattened to allow for printing vertically with a brim, and a version with a larger base that can be removed after printing. This is mainly for printers that don't handle the smaller base well.
The arm also has one more version without the point in the middle of the sucker. This is less toy accurate but more Dalek accurate. It also allows for vertical printing with the sucker as the base.
I made these replacements for a toy Dalek that I got when I was a kid. I lost these parts years ago but in my defense the pieces came out of their sockets way too easily and I was left unsupervised :)
I designed these parts based on some great photos I found of the Palitoy Dalek on the web so they're as close as I could get without actually having the original pieces as reference. I should point out that the original model, while one of my favourite toys, was not the most accurate representation of a Dalek. These are reproductions of the original TOY parts, not accurate representations of the parts from an actual Dalek, which are slightly different.
Thanks to PBProps whose video showing the refurbishment of his own Talking Dalek inspired me to make these models.
