Panel showing the bust of a monk. The monk, with a robe over one shoulder in broad ridged folds, turns his head slightly to his left; it is round and lacks a hairline. The long eyes are narrow and with pupils marked, the nose, mouth and cheeks are full and the large projecting ears are of unequal size. The joined hands clearly leave a space between the palms and the fingers of the right hand appear to hide the tips of those of the left.
