Pesthy Frigyes (Timisoara March 23 1823 - Budapest November 23 1889) was a historian, freedom fighter, academic and member of the Hungarian parliament. In his lifetime he wrote multiple political books and studies into Hungary's language, history and geographical context. This bust was made in his honour by Szemery-Kill Balazs, a sculptor from Szeged.
