This design is a simple phone stand with a purpose. The basis of this design relies on my personal needs while I'm working, and is optimized for those particular functions. The goal is that this design would keep my phone out of the way, and provide simple storage for pencil and paper for when I need to jot down notes during a phone call.
In addition to the model, I have also made a tutorial on how to model this using SelfCAD. This covers the whole process from start to finish, and will lead you all the way to the gcode slicer that is located in SelfCAD. The video can be found at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_6-EeNoQqk&t=35s
My hope is that posting this video tutorial would showcase the ease of modeling using SelfCAD, and prove that you can make seemingly complex objects using primitive forms and basic functions.
Thanks for looking around! I hope that you enjoy the project! If you use my design or adapt to make your own, let me know - I’d love to see it!
This is my submission for the #selfCADchallenge hosted by SelfCAD. Checkout how this object was made : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_6-EeNoQqk&t=35s Designed and uploaded with www.selfcad.com
