Description
Although this woman’s hairstyle has been influenced by the fashions of the Flavian period, her idealized face and the style of the drapery date to the era of Emperor Trajan (reigned A.D. 53-117). We do not know the name of this woman, but we do know that she osed for a particularly gifted sculptor, who had closely studied masterpieces of Classical Greek Art.
