Description
This mural located on a wall of the Grand Ballcourt of Chichen Itza, depicting a ceremonial decapitation. The blood is symbolized by the snake, shouting out of the neck of the victim. It is not exactly known if the winner of the loser gets sacrificed, some source tends to prove that the winner was sacrificed, permitting his family to rise to the top of the Maya's society.
