The Solar Candle harvests sunshine and gives off light in the dark.
When placed in sunshine for the day, two 30mm square photovoltaic panels will charge a
rechargeble AAA battery.
At night the battery will power two LED bulbs.
A switch is included to turn the Solar Candle on and off.
A 600mAh capacity rechargeable battery is recommended. A large capacity battery allows unused energy to be banked and carried over to the next day.
The Solar Candle is a 90 mm diameter sphere.

Both Candles were printed on a Felix 3 printer.
The cell holder and the bulb ring are fastened to the bottom shell with two M3 x 15mm bolts.
The solar panels, LEDS, and printed circuit board are obtained from a two solar garden lights.
The printed circuit board from the garden light includes a switch that should be left in the "on"postion for the Solar Candle.
A Dremel or similar rotary tool with a circular saw blade or abrasive disk can be used to cut the solar cells from the garden lights.
Also required are a single AAA battery holder, large capacity AAA battery, and a micro switch.
The switch is used to turn the Solar Candle on and off.
Slide the switch to the "on" position for charging.
No supports are required for printing.
