×Super simple croquet mallet head
super simple croquet mallet head, made by making a main cylinder in openscad then subtracting out the hole for a wood rod to be glued in. I suggest adding 0.5mm to the rod diameter to get the hole diameter. This way, there is no need to use any glue to hold the head in the handle. Use any wooden rod you like, diameter is adjustable in the SCAD file. For this particular model, I sawed an old broomstick in half to use as the handle. If you break one of your croquet mallets, this is a fun and easy hack to try instead of having to buy a whole new set of mallets. Youtube link: https://youtu.be/sPPEQnuGx74
I used 50% infill and 6 outer wall layers for structural stability and plastic minimization. final product was a bit heavy, so plastic usage could be further optimized by finding the best strength-to-weight ratio.
