The design and prototyping of a 3D Printed Swiss Lever Escapement
I made a Swiss Lever Escapement for you to try
This escapement will be part of a complete and functional watch movement mostly 3D printed
It is quite an extensive project, so as a starting point try this free escapement modele
The most challenging part to print will be the hairspring, it failed many time for me, and I have not found setting that are garanteed to work, my advice: go slow!
experiment with scaling up or down a little
also check that the print starts at one end of the spring, not in some random place in the middle, rotate if needed
Certainly no first layer expansion with a negative value
I used 0.2 mm layer, for the rest, experiment...
small area to stick to the bed, long distances to travel
Follow closely the impression, make sure the first layer is good, be ready to stop if the spring move on the bed
I added a second file, only 1.2 mm thick

As advised in the video I built this 1st... Love your models hope to make at least one whole working clock ;) Thanks for the efforts. Respect, Peter Lunk
