This speaker case is made to house the kitronik mono amplifier circuit and is cleverly designed so that the speaker is protected and hidden from view when not in use disguising itself as a simple ordinary looking box however simply sliding the slider on either side of the case causes a cover to retract into the box and slide out of the way and the speaker reveals itself as it swings into place to the front of the box in a clever and unique way shown in this video:
The speaker is then exposed with no obstructions (such as a speaker grill) resulting in a superior audio quality, when you are finished using the speaker slide the slider back up and the speaker drops backwards and the cover slides back into position protecting the speaker and concealing the system from view.
By painting the case you can make the speaker blend into its surroundings even more when not in use making it a completely camouflaged speaker system until you slide the slider revealing the speaker as the box transforms into a high quality sound system ready for all your audio needs.
The design is printed in just 4 pieces, some of which may require support material. The design is very simply assembled as shown in the video below requiring just a little hot glue to secure the speaker in position, all moving parts have been designed to have a 0.3mm clearance between them so when assembled all the moving parts should move and slide freely.
