Description
This turtle (Testudines) carapace was recovered archaeologically from a quarter for enslaved servants at the Oak Hill plantation site (44PY440). It was found in Room 2, Test Unit 2, Layer C, Feature 1 in an excavation on November 15, 2015. It was 3D scanned with a NextEngine Desktop 3-D scanner. Identified by Dr. Elizabeth Moore.
